Sustainability Leadership Experience at Green Mountain College Master's Residency Program

  • Green Mountain College One Brennan Circle Poultney, VT (map)

Whole Works will lead a hands-on workshop featuring a compressed version of our Sustainability Leadership Experience (SLX). The SLX uses an advanced simulation that combines behavioral elements with a detailed computer model to represent the system dynamics of a fictional pulp mill in Uruguay, including the natural environment and local community. Participants will play roles on 6 Rio Negro Pulp Mill management teams and engage with each other and with key stakeholders (community, NGO) in making their business decisions. This session will challenge Masters students from the College's Environmental Sciences, Sustainable and Resilient Communities, and Sustainable MBA programs to collaborate in new ways as they transform the pulp mill into a sustainable enterprise.
