Matthew J. Mayberry, Ph.D.

Since 1992, Matt Mayberry has consulted, taught and facilitated groups in a variety of organizations around the world. He has helped organizations in a range of industries apply creative problem solving skills in the areas of strategy development, decision analysis, process improvement and organizational transformation. He has over 24 years of computer modeling experience, and has developed a wide range of dynamic simulations as well as board games, flight simulators and total-immersion simulations.

Prior to beginning his consulting career, Dr. Mayberry worked as a physicist specializing in fusion energy research. He received his Ph.D. in physics from M.I.T. in 1986. In 1987 he received the prestigious Simon Ramo Award for outstanding doctoral thesis work in plasma physics. Following ten years of managing successful, large-scale experimental research programs, he left physics to attend the Stanford Business School. He received his M.B.A. in 1993. He then worked for Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI) where he led a successful process reengineering effort in the manufacturing division. He also worked as a consultant for High Performance Systems (now isee systems), training numerous organizations in systems thinking and computer modeling before founding Whole Works Consulting.
